This workshop is designed to help you create peace on your mat and learn practical tools to take this peace with you into your day to day life.
Join Angel Lawrence, MD in gentle yoga, focused on breath and movement, followed by a discussion on how to apply mindfulness techniques on a daily basis. We will discuss living with an active mind, worried thoughts and unnecessary judgments, and finish with a guided meditation.
This is a free introductory workshop as part of our OPEN HOUSE WEEK. Space will fill, so please register in advance on our schedule page.
September 28th. 1-3pm.
I came to yoga 18 years ago after the unexpected death of my husband. The practice of yoga was a retreat and a grounding for me as I continued in medical school and residency, now raising three daughters on my own.
I am Board Certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and share the benefits of mindfulness and other therapy modalities with my patients on a daily basis. In 2016 I completed yoga teacher training with local teacher, Angie Fraley. I find that the 8 limb path is a beautiful structure for living a peaceful and full life that can be shared by all.
It is my heartfelt wish to work with my fellow yogis to provide a safe place to talk, to discuss the challenges of being human and living in a busy world.
